Quotes on Vanamali Walks

Shri Abhishek Kumar Sahu, Deputy Commandant, CISF

Vanamali Tree Walks seem to bridge the gap between nature that nurtures us but forgotten in these modern times. These beautifully curated walks open us to the enormous wealth of knowledge especially the native flora. There could not have been a better experience than this to understand plants of Vraja and our role in maintaining and preserving them. My heartiest wishes to the Vanamali Tree Walks team, especially Mrs. Padmavati Dwivedi for giving me an opportunity to be a part of the project. I wish the team all the success and more outreach in their future endeavours.

I have known Padma since 2018. My colleague in English Department in Sri Venkateswara College suggested to join a nature walk in the Aravali Biodiversity Park. Agreed though reluctant as the park appears to be a dry scrub vegetation and a non botanist showing us the park. To my pleasant surprise with Padma it was indeed an interesting outing she narrating quaint stories of indigenous flora. This aspect is often ignored with to the point scientific inputs. Have been accompanying her for many walks including the Vanamali walks. Yes it’s pure joy to immerse in wondrous nature.
